A day full of fun at Legoland Dubai

November 8th, 2018

We went to the fun-filled world of legos LEGOLAND Dubai - a family theme park, based on the mega popular LEGO building blocks and come back with a day full of unforgettable memories..

Welcome to the world of miniscule legos turned into cute structures in various shapes and sizes that dot Legoland Dubai - the seventh Legoland globally and the first in the Middle East. Legoland is home to over 40 fantastic rides, family-friendly attractions, and innovative play areas for kids.
Legoland main park is majorly split into two parks - LEGOLAND Theme Park and LEGOLAND Waterpark. The LEGOLAND Theme Park is further divided into themed lands, each accessible by foot consisting of Lego City, Miniland, Adventure, Imagination, Kingdoms; and Factory and the Lego store.

Miniland
Step inside the Miniland an indoor (which means fully air conditioned space) cityscape focused on the Middle East made entirely of tiny Lego blocks.
Watch the gleaming skyscrapers from the Sheikh Zayed Road come to life as a mini version of Dubai Metro whizzes past the buildings. Of course there is a giant LEGO version of Dubai’s pride, the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai skyline which the kids will love to see in mini version. What attention to detail and marvelous replicas! This is sure to amaze the children and grown-ups alike! We were in awe. Everything moved on the models – lots of busy trucks at the airport, boats on the water and of course, some Dubai Metro trains!

There are models like the Pyramids of Egypt and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Petra and even the Taj Mahal. The best part is these models are equally engaging for the visitors as each of them is equipped with buttons to move the buses, boats or the sounds.

Legoland Waterpark

A thrilling Water park with rides that both you and your kids can enjoy. Clearly, there’s no better way to beat the scorching Dubai heat than LEGOLAND!

Flumes, slides, a wave pool, water-dumping buckets, a wavy beachside, a lazy river with a build-your-own raft ride using the giant Lego blocks — there are nearly two dozen rides inside the water park.

There is another one for the little busy builders – Build a boat and let it float or race with other boats.

Lego City
A great hands-on for little learners the Lego City is basically a mini version of a city with a theatre, an airport, a fire and police station and a driving and boating school. Some of the must try attractions here are the Driving School (suits 5 to 12-year-old), Junior Driving School (for 3 to 5-year-old), Boat School (all ages with an adult), Rescue Academy (with an adult), City Airport and Sea Port.

Driving School is like a fairytale come alive experience that children will love. After watching an informative video on traffic and driving rules, kids get to drive a car around a road track with traffic lights and stop signs. After a long day of exploring watch the Lego puppets come alive in a live show.

Overall a great theme park, Legoland Dubai is one of our top destinations to enjoy for the whole family and a great spot to head to during the cooler winter months.
Definitely, a great place to let the kids’ imagination run wild and see them engage, learn and make memories while indulging in some fun activities and rides.
